Our Story

Bridebook was founded by Hamish Shephard in 2017. His wedding industry journey began when he and his family transformed their grandmother’s old home into one of the UK’s leading wedding venues; Hedsor House.  

In 2008, after struggling to market corporate events at Hedsor House, Hamish and his family turned their attention to weddings. They discovered that it was difficult to increase exposure online and even harder to find the right couples for their venue.  

Hamish also found that couples felt overwhelmed and confused by wedding planning. And so Bridebook was born! A wedding planning app that connects thousands of wedding businesses with the right couples for them - and simplifies wedding planning for couples all over the world!
